Immigrations Services Expanded to Beaverton

With a growing immigrant population in the greater Portland area, LCS Northwest recently started offering Immigration Counseling and Advocacy Program (ICAP) services at our Beaverton office.

Kane Ransom is leading the new program. He is a Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) accredited representative counselor with two years of immigration experience. He speaks English and Spanish.

Kane Ransom is the ICAP Immigration Counselor at the Beaverton office.

“I enjoy assisting clients achieve their well-deserved U.S. immigration status because I believe in equal protection and rights under the law,” Ransom said. “I’m also amazed at how much I gain from speaking and serving these clients.”

Primary ICAP services are Green Card, Citizenship and Visitor Visa application assistance. Other services include petitioning for family members, visas for crime victims and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). All initial consultation cost $50, and consultation is not the same as accepting a case.

“We’re excited to offer these services in Washington County,” said Beaverton Area Manager Judy Werner. “We know the need is great and this is work we’ve been doing in other LCS Northwest offices for more than 10 years.”
