Community Partnership with Sleep Country Foster Kids
Sleep Country logoBe sure to support Sleep Country Foster Kids drives for coats, shoes, school supplies and toys! Thousands of needy foster children benefit from these community drives. Families for Kids staff hand delivers these important and much needed items to foster children throughout the year! Make a meaningful contribution to foster youth in Washington - support Sleep Country Foster Kids!
Mental Health Care Crisis Lines
If your foster child/youth is experiencing a mental health crisis, Crisis Lines are available Statewide through the Regional Support Networks (RSNs) to provide assistance. Most of the lines are available 24 hours a day and have trained staff knowledgeable in the mental health system, mental health crisis, the acute hospital system and the county Designated Mental Health Professionals (DMHP’s). New Foster Parent Training Opportunities!
Both computerized and statewide foster parent training classes are now available! Six hour foster parent classes can be taken through Pierce Community College or in various locations throughout the state, through June. If you need training hours, this is an excellent opportunity to get some quality training in topics relevant to you! For information and to enroll in upcoming classes, follow this link.
