This year’s Gathered for Good Luncheon on October 18th was nothing short of wonderful! The room was filled with warmth and laughter as friends — both long-time supporters and new faces — came together to celebrate our shared mission of bringing health, justice, and hope to our community. Together, we raised over $20,000 to support our vital programs and services!
Back for the first time since COVID, the atmosphere was cozy and intimate, buzzing with conversation and joy. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal and decadent desserts, while a round of fun trivia got lunch off to a lively start and had the crowd smiling and cheering in no time.
Excitement built throughout the afternoon, especially during the raffle drawing that brought friendly competition and plenty of anticipation. It was a true celebration of community and generosity in action.
One of the many touching moments came as we presented this year’s awards:
- The Light in the Community Award to St. Luke Lutheran Church for their steadfast partnership and faith-filled presence in our mission.
- The Hands of Grace Award to the Cheney Diakonia Guild for their unwavering generosity, faithful friendship, and joyful spirit of service.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Po Popelka, our amazing emcee, for lifting spirits and keeping the fun flowing so effortlessly throughout the event and to our wonderful volunteers for helping direct and organize our attendees. And a special thank you to Pastor Phil Misner for leading us in prayer and reminding us of the power of togetherness and loving one another.
From start to finish, Gathered for Good reminded us why community matters so deeply. Thank you to everyone who joined us — you truly made this event shine.
