Dear Friends,

Lutheran Community Services Northwest’s Multicultural Community Services (MCS) program sends our thoughts with everyone across the globe and in our backyards. We hope that you are staying safe, healthy, are taking the necessary precautions and following reputable sources for up-to-date information about COVID-19. We have provided a few sources for you below. While we understand that individuals and communities will be impacted in different ways, we are reminded and comforted that we are in this together.

MCS is taking active measures to keep our staff, clients, volunteers and communities safe during this time. That is why we have decided to close to the public to ensure social distancing. We also are committed to serve clients through phone and telehealth. We are working to keep our staff safe by facilitating teleworking, cancelling group meetings and providing up-to-date information on how to protect themselves and their families. As this situation is evolving quickly, we will keep you updated on how this will impact our services.

As always, we must continue to act with grace and compassion for one another. Humanity will prevail but we all know that we have some difficult months in front of us. We are here to serve and will do it together responsibly and with compassion.

Thank you for your ongoing support of this work and for your grace in this time.
