Private Duty Home Care – Pierce County

Helping seniors live safely in their own homes as long as possible is a core value for Lutheran Community Services Northwest in the Greater Puget Sound area. It’s a value that underpins our proud history as a home care provider for more than 30 years in Pierce and Kitsap counties. Now it’s with a heavy heart that we will end the last of the Home Care Program, effective June 30, 2022.  We thank you for your support over the last 30 years.

Unfortunately, we will not be taking on new clients, but we can refer you to the following resources: Care Availability

Remain in your home with our help

Our Home Care program helps seniors and people with disabilities stay living in their homes. Our goal is for people to live more comfortable and healthier lives at home. We provide help with personal care, companionship, respite care, grocery shopping assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping services and transportation to medical appointments. Our assistance is often referred to as non-medical home care.

When you sign up for our home care services, a supervisor will come to your home to complete a personal needs assessment and care plan with you.  Once we determine your needs, our compassionate, trained and state certified home care aides are available for hourly services.  Caregiver services are available seven days a week and can be scheduled in a variety of shift times and lengths.  We provide Home Care services to residents of Pierce County.

The LCSNW Home Care team knows you have concerns when it comes to COVID-19 and your vulnerable loved ones.  We share those concerns and want you to know that we have policies and procedures in place based on the current CDC, State and County Guidelines to keep our clients and their caregivers safe.  Our team uses appropriate personal protective equipment including face masks, gloves and sanitizer while maintaining social distance where appropriate.  We can also perform contactless services such as grocery shopping/delivery, phone based assessments and social calls.  Please reach out to us if you have questions about how we are working to provide care during these challenging times.

Providing compassionate and meaningful connections to our community

We have been a state-licensed home care provider since 1985. LCS Northwest is voluntarily accredited through the Council on Accreditation (COA), which holds us to the highest standards for practice and care in human services. Our compassionate caregivers are trained, certified and carefully screened which has allowed us to provide quality care for more than 30 years.

Home care workers needed

With an aging baby boom generation, the need for home care services is growing.  If you love to care for others and think you have the right skills to be a successful home care aide, please contact our Tacoma office.  If you have your HCA or CNA/NAC, we would be happy to hear from you.
