Bilingual volunteer for refugee seniors

The Refugee Senior Services Program at Lutheran Community Services Northwest empowers people to build upon their strengths and connect to their new communities. We are recruiting volunteers for a couple of opportunities based at our SeaTac location:

Volunteer Interpreter 

We need a volunteer who can speak English and Russian/Ukrainian. You will use your bilingual skills to interpret and translate information during our ESL and Civics classes. You will also have an opportunity to do outreach to the Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking communities.

ESL Instructor

We are also looking for an ESL instructor to volunteer time to teach English to refugee seniors.  It’s a plus if you are bilingual in English and Russian/Ukrainian/Arabic/Farsi, but not required.
