GPS Fall 2026 District Director Message

Oct 20, 2026

A message from Najib Nazhat, Greater Puget Sound District Director

As the fall season begins and students return to school, I’m reminded of the incredible impact our staff, volunteers, and community partners make every day across the Greater Puget Sound District. Together, we continue to strengthen communities, support families, and create opportunities for those we serve.

I’m excited to welcome you to The Hive, LCSNW’s refreshed e-newsletter. With a new look and expanded content, The Hive brings together stories, updates, and insights from across our district and throughout LCSNW. You’ll also find program highlights and data that help showcase the meaningful impact of our work.

In this issue, we’re celebrating some inspiring examples of impact in action. You’ll read about our local Back-to-School Fairs, the creativity and connection fostered through our Opening Minds through Art program, and the ways Santa for Seniors is helping older adults prepare for the season through safety kits and community support. We’re also sharing opportunities to help ensure refugee and immigrant youth have safe and welcoming places to call home.

We’re also celebrating an exciting milestone in Auburn with the launch of our first co-located partnership between Compass Housing Alliance, now a division of LCSNW, and our Behavioral Health Program. This collaboration represents a meaningful step toward more integrated, accessible care by connecting housing and behavioral health services in one location. While supporting individuals receiving housing services, the new outpatient counseling site also expands access to care for residents throughout Auburn and neighboring communities, helping ensure more people can access the support they need to thrive.

Thank you for being part of the LCSNW community and for the compassion, commitment, and generosity you bring to this work. I hope you enjoy exploring the new Hive and the stories of hope, resilience, and partnership it shares.
