Serving Bellingham and surrounding areas of Whatcom County.
We offer limited services at the site of the former Central Lutheran Church property, purchased by LCSNW in 2024.
Helping seniors and people with disabilities attain and sustain maximum independence, well-being and health.
The Santa for Seniors team brings meaningful gifts, spreads joy, and provides additional resources to isolated seniors year round. We partner with local organizations to provide comforting gifts and opportunities for connection throughout the year. We foster awareness and intergenerational connection through our card and ornament decorating activities. Elementary schools, various clubs, and youth groups regularly join us in gift drives, gift assemblies, and other local events.
Helping individuals and families without stable housing achieve housing stability, growth and improved well-being, and places of belonging in the community.
LCSNW has provided space for Whatcom County’s designated Severe Weather Shelter. For a period of roughly 4 months, the shelter offered overnight refuge on the coldest nights of winter. The shelter served up to 60 people per night experiencing homelessness.
Whatcom County contracted with LCSNW for the winters of 2024-25 and 2025-26. The county operated and staffed the shelter; LCSNW provided the facilities and part-time support by one staff member.
For the winter of 2026-27, LCSNW will host the shelter for at least 90 nights between Dec. 1 and Feb. 28.
We can’t do this alone. Whether you want to volunteer, advocate or donate, your involvement helps bring hope and opportunity to those we serve.
