A Family Gathering Place Relief Nursery provides individualized support for parents and therapeutic classroom experiences for their young children to develop and strengthen healthy family relationships. The focus of the classroom is on social-emotional skills for toddlers and preschoolers. Parenting education, home visits and other support are available to parents of children 12 months through age 5.
We offer comprehensive support for youth (under age 18) experiencing complex mental and behavioral health challenges. Using a strength-based, team-oriented approach, we help families stay together safely while navigating behavioral health, education, and community systems.
This is a voluntary and limited-time program. We help families set and meet goals and build a support team. Participants are better able to meet everyday challenges with confidence after graduating from our program.
Klamath Basin Wraparound is a partnership of LCSNW and Cascade Health Alliance. Clients must be enrolled in Cascade Health Alliance and be working with multiple agencies/systems. To get started, ask one of your service providers to fill out a referral form.
Klamath Project Youth Empowerment (KPYE) provides support and guidance for youth ages 9–18 navigating substance use challenges. We equip clients with tools to cope with stressors that place them at risk.
KPYE centers on evidence-based prevention, education, and outpatient treatment services. We offer individual counseling, peer support, and school-based interventions. Groups, workshops, and nicotine-free events are offered to support lifestyle changes.
Education—Informs youth about substances and how using them can affect health and behavior. Provides statistics of substance use and how it impacts education, social environment and overall fulfillment of life.
Prevention—Informs youth about the use and abuse of substances, the consequences they can cause to health, and the skills to make healthier choices in the future. Prevention programs are 4 to 8 hours depending on need.
Outpatient Treatment— Begins with an assessment to determine whether a youth has a diagnosis and what level of care is needed to remain abstinent from substance use. Level 1 includes a substance use counselor, youth peer support and case management. Treatment typically lasts 16 weeks but may continue to support the youth in maintaining positive changes.
Youth ages 9-18 can be referred to KPYE by teachers, school counselors, parents, doctors, ODHS officials, probation officers, or by self-referral.
KPYE funding partners include: Klamath County Public Health, Cascade Health Alliance, and Klamath County Juvenile Corrections.
