LCSNW was proud to participate in the 2026 Pierce County Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, October 3, at Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma.
A team of 15 LCSNW staff, friends and family members came together to walk in support of people living with Alzheimer’s and their families, raise awareness, and celebrate the strength of our community. Despite the cool fall weather, the event drew a strong turnout and created an inspiring atmosphere for everyone who participated.
Our Tacoma Aging and Independent Living team also hosted an LCSNW booth, where staff shared information about our services and programs that support older adults and their families. Many walkers stopped by to learn more, and the team received strong interest in our senior programs.
Together, our LCSNW team raised $1,551.01 to support the Alzheimer’s Association and its efforts to advance research, provide support and resources, and promote awareness of Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, stopped by our booth, or helped make the day a success!
