LCSNW is thrilled to announce a major step forward in our mission to support youth and families in the region: we’re expanding and relocating!
Tentatively scheduled for late August 2026, the LCSNW Tri-Cities district will consolidate operations from two long-serving facilities into a modern, 38,000-square-foot space designed to better support staff and community needs. The new LCSNW office will be located in the former Amazon building at 7011 W Canal Drive in Kennewick.
LCSNW has provided mental and behavioral health services to youth across Benton and Franklin Counties for 61 years, and more than half of that time has been operated out of the non-profit’s current offices on Kennewick Avenue and Morain Street in Kennewick. Programs expanded into a new office in Pasco in 2021; however, with a steady stream of referrals, LCSNW programs have outgrown their current Kennewick space.
“This is more than a move—it’s an investment in the future of youth mental health in our community,” says District Director Sharon Gentry. “We’re creating a healing-centered space that will allow us to serve more youth, collaborate more effectively, and grow with the needs of our region.”
Currently, LCSNW operates out of two buildings in Kennewick and one office in Pasco. With services spread across multiple buildings and the Kennewick leases expiring next summer, LCSNW is looking for the new Canal Drive location to:
- Double square footage and usable space
- Allow program staff to operate from a single, trauma-informed setting designed for youth and families
- Provide space for on-site staff and family events, which current space cannot accommodate
- Address longstanding infrastructure upgrades, including HVAC, electrical, safety, and technology
Renovations on LCSNW’s new Canal Drive location are expected to begin in November 2025, with staff move-in tentatively scheduled for August 2026. In addition to applying for grant funding, LCSNW is seeking community support to help fund this project and create a space that meets the urgent mental health needs of our youth — today and for generations to come.
