Program Overview

Empowering Families. Nurturing Children.

A Family Place partners with courageous parents and caregivers who are building upon their strengths to overcome life’s challenges, build a brighter future for their children and contribute to thriving communities, enriched by the power of their triumph over adversity.

A Family Place combines community support and proven methodology to invest in the future of Yamhill County’s children and families.

Supporting Families in many ways

All families start with home visits and the offer of once-a-month therapeutic classroom. Families transition into additional services as space becomes available.

Healthy Families Home Visiting

  • Willamina

Healthy Families is an evidence-based home visiting program that provides in-home parenting education and family support for at least 3 years to families with children 0-5 years of age. Family Support Specialists/Home Visitors partner with families to celebrate family strengths; identify challenges; set child and family goals that reflect their individual needs, culture and values; and link families to needed community resources. We use an evidence-based parenting education and family support curriculum to support our work with families.
