Education to Become an OHA-Certified Peer Support Specialist
Peer Support Specialists (PSS) work alongside behavioral health teams in both community and clinical settings to connect individuals to vital services. At LCSNW, we train PSS with lived experience in behavioral health and community systems.
Multicultural Peer Support Specialist
A career pathway for advancement in behavioral health.
- 40-hour training accredited by the State of Oregon
- Focus on immigrant, refugee, and BIPOC communities with lived experience in mental health and/or addiction recovery
- Leads to Peer Support Specialist certification in Oregon
- Accredited for PSS Adult Mental Health and PSS Adult Addictions

Experiential Learning Program – Pre-Apprenticeship
Hands-on learning for certified Peer Support Specialists.
- 180-hour training in clinical or community-based settings
- Participants receive a stipend upon placement and completion
- Currently not accepting new applications

Refund Policy
You can ask for a full refund at least two business days before your training starts. The processing fee will not be refunded.
To ask for a refund, please contact us by email or fill out the refund form. Refunds will go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
No refunds are given after the training begins.
LCSNW Grievance Policy
We want to hear from you. If you have a concern or complaint, you do NOT have to put this in writing—feel free to speak with any staff member at any time.
- You define what your grievance is.
- You have the right to share concerns without fear of retaliation.
- We will respond promptly and respectfully.
- Whenever possible, we will work with you to resolve concerns quickly and at the lowest level.
- You will never be asked to wait, write it down, or delay your complaint.

- Speak directly with any staff member.
- Complete this form and give it to any staff member.
- Participant Grievance Forms will be available and accessible at all in person trainings.
