Restorative Justice Volunteer Surrogate

Volunteer surrogates are paired with a responsible party to share their own experience with a similar type of “crime” and the responsible party shares their story and growth. This helps the responsible party to understand and empathize with people harmed by actions like theirs and it allows the surrogate to find healing.

Mentors help newcomers navigate the local community & U.S. cultural norms and build confidence in managing daily responsibilities (such as scheduling appointments, managing mail, connecting to community resources, etc.). Mentors play a vital part in promoting self-sufficiency and dignity for all clients. They assist by offering guidance, practical support, and encouragement as they build independence and confidence in their new environment.

Baby Supplies Bank Volunteer
