Program Assistant Volunteers
Need to help with the telephone, filing, computer and data entry, copying and other administrative tasks. Duties vary by program. Works closely with Program Director or designee. Senior Companion Program

Senior Friends
Senior Friend
Make a difference in an elder's life! Become a friend to an isolated senior in your community and help them remain as independent as possible.Senior Friends are over 18, enjoy the company of elders, able to drive or navigate by transit, and able to commit 2 hours/month for a year. For more information, please contact Linda McCone, 253-722-5691.
Senior Media Services
Senior Scene Drivers
Deliver the Senior Scene newspaper to distribution sites in Pierce County. Must have valid Washington drivers license, insurance and privately owned vehicle. Mileage reimbursement available for assigned route(s). For more information, please contact Linda, 1-253-722-5678.
The Early Stage Memory Loss (ESML) Zoo Walk
Volunteer
ESML Zoo Walk is in need of two more volunteers to walk with us at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. We are looking for individuals who enjoy the company of elders to accompany our group of people with ESML and their care partners for a morning walk through the zoo followed by refreshments at the café. The walks occur weekly with breaks between each 8 week session and for holidays. LCSNW pays entry fees for the zoo; participants and volunteers are responsible for their own refreshments. For more information, please contact Linda McCone, 253-722-5691.
