Our Impact

Refugee and Immigrant Services

We help refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers rebuild their lives in a new country

We believe in the American dream. That’s why we help people who’ve endured the unimaginable to pursue it. We work with thousands of refugees and immigrants each year to help them rise above their challenges, build upon the strength and courage that got them here, and support their hopes to become vital contributors to our communities.

We equip refugees and immigrants with the skills, resources and support they need to live fulfilling lives. We offer mental health counseling in different languages, help them learn English, find a place to live and work, gain citizenship, and become productive members in their Northwest communities. Our multicultural staff speak many different languages. Many are refugees and immigrants themselves.

Services vary by region and are offered at the following locations: Portland, Vancouver, North Puget Sound (Seattle, King and Snohomish counties), South Puget Sound (Tacoma), Salem, Beaverton, Yamhill County and Spokane.

LCS Northwest staff speak more than 45 languages and many are immigrants or refugees themselves. Our expertise and culturally competent services support clients in their transition to a new culture and their recovery from trauma, torture, war, and poverty.
You are welcome here.
We offer services without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, religious belief, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, ability, military or veteran status, source of income or political affiliation.
