LCSNW earns re-accreditation, recognized as ‘outstanding provider’
LCSNW has again earned four-year accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA). The achievement is considered a mark of quality and effectiveness by funders, regulators, public policy makers and the community.
From the award letter LCSNW received: “We are proud to recognize Lutheran Community Services Northwest as an outstanding provider who has met high performance standards and made a commitment to delivering quality services.”
LCSNW has maintained consecutive accreditation since 1991. In addition to improving processes for staff and clients, accreditation eases some audit requirements and paves the way for some funding opportunities.
The evaluators examined every corner of the organization – both Direct Service and Shared Services – and held LCSNW to the highest level of best practices in the industry.
LCSNW is grateful to all the staff who supported the process by reviewing standards and submitting documentation. Very special thanks to the sites that hosted auditors Jan. 27-29 and worked hard to ensure a successful visit. The QA&I team, led by Director Amy Converse, completed the mammoth task of preparing more than 800 documents to meet more than 600 performance standards that COA measures.
“We can all be very proud of this honor,” said Heike Lake, President and Chief Operating Officer.
