Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP)

Supporting Kitsap County youth and young adults on the path to stability

We connect with youth and young adults experiencing homelessness through youth-led and culturally specific outreach. Our case management and navigation services provide swift support to help youth and young adults find stable housing with the services they need.

We focus on eliminating barriers and addressing the root causes of homelessness while fostering autonomy, respect, and long-term relationships. Our work affirms and strengthens youth identities—cultural, racial, linguistic, and gender/sexual.

Serving rural and remote areas with limited resources, we are committed to long-term support. Our goal is safe, stable housing paired with life skills, financial literacy, and employment support—empowering youth to build sustainable, independent futures.

YHDP Eligibility:

  • At the time of project entry, all household members must be 24 or younger.
  • Households with members over 24 are welcome; however, YHDP funds are designated specifically for housing and supportive services for eligible youth.
  • Once enrolled, there are no age restrictions for continued support.
  • Eligibility is based on one of four defined categories of homelessness.
