Reform Ride for Refugees

Ride for refugees as they reform their lives in this new country!

Join us on August 11 as we cycle the scenic backroads and rolling hills of Kitsap County to celebrate and support our refugee neighbors in Puget Sound.

Reform Ride for Refugees offers three different routes: 10, 30ish, and 50 mile courses to appeal to bike riders new and experienced. Our rides range from an easy pedal to our 50 mile route with over 3,600 feet of elevation gain for a scenic and challenging course meant to showcase the best of Kitsap County! All routes are clearly marked and include food stops, medical and mechanical support.

Pedaling for a purpose

In its second year, Reform Ride for Refugees directs all proceeds to Lutheran Community Services Northwest’s refugee resettlement work in the Puget Sound. The bike ride was created by five local churches as a tangible way to support immigrants and refugees who may feel like outsiders in this new land. Ride organizers were inspired by Proverbs 31:8 –

“Speak for those who can not speak for themselves: defend the rights of all those who have nothing.”
