Grieving

the death of

a strong leader

Roberta Nestaas led LCSNW in various capacities from 1980 to 2014. As President and CEO, she steered the agency through economic downturns and other difficult times. Now we grieve her death and remember a life well lived. Roberta’s long tenure at LCSNW set a high standard of service to our communities and growth in our programs.

Recapping

a year of

uplifting work

LCSNW’s thriving six lines of service and strong financial position are on full display in our 2024 annual report. More dynamic and easier to skim than before, the fiscal-year report includes a letter from CEO David Duea reflecting on his 10-year anniversary with the organization on July 1. He calls it the “hardest, best job I’ve ever had.”

Brightening

families’

job prospects

Refugees like Serhii and Tamara from Ukraine often have good job skills when they arrive in the U.S. In their case, they just needed a license to do general contracting. “Without your help we wouldn’t really have known where to start,” Tamara said of LCSNW. We are glad to help and share their story.
