Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

Lutheran Community Services Northwest Tri-Cities is proud to offer Mental Health First Aid trainings to adults 18 and older in our region. This training equips participants with the skills they may need to reach out and provide initial support to either youth or adults who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or substance use problem and connect them to appropriate care. You must be 18 or older to attend the training.

Certification
Lutheran Community Services Northwest has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7689. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Lutheran Community Services Northwest is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
What the Training Covers:
- Common signs and symptoms of mental illness
- Common signs and symptoms of substance use
- How to interact with a person in crisis
- How to connect the person with help
- NEW: Expanded content on trauma, addiction and self-care
