Senior Friends match volunteers with lonely and socially-isolated elders in their Pierce County community. Volunteers are matched with a senior based on their interests and both report that their lives are enriched by the friendship.

As a friend, you’ll provide an elder with social engagement, companionship and connection to community on a regular basis. You can read or play games with your senior friend, take walks together or share hobbies. It’s up to you and your friend.

Social interaction can reduce the effects of dementia, depression and isolation, in turn delaying the need for nursing home care.

We're determined to keep vulnerable families together and help children thrive! That's why our #klamathfalls Relief Nursery Manager, Joseph Maurer, spent a day meeting with leaders at the Oregon Capitol. Relief nurseries all over the state, including ours in KFalls and #yamhillcounty, are counting on their support. Thank you, Rep. Emily McIntire (top photo, center) and State Senator Dennis Linthicum (bottom photo, center). Also thanks to Rep. Kim Wallan (not pictured). #HealthJusticeHope #parenteducation #orleg ...
