Lutheran Community Services Northwest provides a wide variety of foster care, adoption and other child welfare services, primarily in Washington State, tailored to address the unique needs of children in each of the communities we serve.
The Permanency Planning Foster Care and Adoption Program places children with foster families who agree to work closely with birth parents for reunification with their children, but will commit to adopting the child when reunification is not possible.
The Refugee and Immigrant Children’s Program provides foster homes for refugee and immigrant children and youth.
Therapeutic Foster Care Programs provide a range of foster care and intensive treatment services to children and youth, providing support and skill-building to help them be successful in their families and communities.
The Adoption Program serves families in Eastern Washington by providing Homestudy and Post-Placement services for all types of adoptions, including international, domestic, private and step-parent/relative.
The Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Program places refugee youth, who do not have appropriate or able caregivers, into foster homes in and around the Spokane area. The program helps youth heal from traumatic experiences, learn English, access education and prepare for a future of independence.
