Community Integration Subject Matter Expert Volunteer (Portland)
The Community Integration Department works with newcomer individuals and families to empower them on a pathway to self-sufficiency. The Department works in 6 key areas: family services, health, housing, employment, language, and case management. One time volunteer opportunities are available for Community Integration’s monthly workshops that support and empower clients on specific topics. Workshops include: career pathways, navigating public transportation, financial literacy and independence (banking, saving for retirement, homeownership, etc.), digital literacy, US school systems, and health and nutrition. Guest speakers are consistently needed to cover these basic topics.
